Note: these terms are informational, not legal advice. Consult your own counsel to understand your rights and obligations.
These terms govern your use of the rateship.io website (the "site") and the rateship npm package (the "SDK"). By using either, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use them.
The SDK is free and open-source, released under the MIT License. The license governs your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the code. It also contains the warranty disclaimer and liability limit that standard MIT-licensed software carries. These terms do not override anything in the MIT License.
There is no RateShip account, dashboard, or hosted API. The site is documentation only; the SDK runs entirely on your own infrastructure. Rate accuracy, delivery times, and label availability are determined by the providers, we have no visibility into or control over them.
Don't use the SDK or the site to:
The SDK and site are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee accuracy of third-party rates, label availability, or uninterrupted site availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind, nor for actions or omissions by the shipping providers you call through the SDK. Because the SDK is free, our total liability is limited to zero dollars.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
